Just as the heart alone cannot make the human body function, an engine which is the 'heart' of the vehicle, alone cannot make it run. Other parts like gears, radiators, tyres too have to be taken care of to ensure smooth functioning of the vehicle. Castrol understands this and therefore offers a complete range of premium products (engine oils, greases, gear oils and coolants) that take complete care of the vehicle. The brief to us from Castrol was to come up with an activation idea to launch its range of products (in the truck category) under one umbrella campaign. However, before working on it, we took a few moments off to understand our target group: the mechanics. We understood that he is a very busy man, works for long hours, is always under stress, has no time for himself, lives in polluted environment of vehicle smokes and chemicals and he is performing a highly skilled job but is not fully educated for the same. Therefore, our activation idea did try to this address these issues by introducing Castrol's Sampoorna Suraksha. It was done in a manner that the TG understood the brand's benefits and was convinced that Castrol not only takes care of his professional requirements but also cares for him. We were able to interact with more than 5300 truck mechanics including 400 dealers, one on one during the activation period. The activity was organized in 52 'transport nagars' spread in 8 states for a duration of 45 days. |
